Beach Mini Sessions: Short, Sweet, and Beautiful

Beach mini sessions are perfect for families who want updated portraits without committing to a longer experience. They are ideal for annual family photos, holiday cards, milestone updates, or families with older children who warm up quickly and are ready to jump right in.

Although mini sessions are brief, they are carefully designed to maximize our time together and capture a beautiful variety of images against several scenic backdrops. They are efficient, fun, and perfect for busy families who want stunning portraits without spending an entire evening at the beach.

Mini sessions are best suited for:

• Families with older children
• Annual portrait updates
• Busy schedules
• Clients who prefer a shorter session
• Families who need fewer images

Because mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back, there is very little flexibility for extra time. If your little one needs time to observe, cuddle, or simply settle into the experience, a full session may provide a more relaxed atmosphere.

Full Beach Sessions: A Slower, More Relaxed Experience

For families with babies, toddlers, or young children, I highly encourage full beach sessions. Little ones rarely operate on a timeline, and full sessions allow us to slow down and let genuine moments unfold naturally.

With additional time, children can explore, play, and warm up at their own pace. Parents can relax knowing there is no rush, and we can move throughout the beach to create a larger, more diverse gallery filled with candid moments and classic portraits.

Full sessions are especially perfect for families who:

• Have young children or shy personalities
• Want a larger collection of images
• Prefer a relaxed experience
• Love candid storytelling alongside traditional portraits
• Plan to create albums or framed artwork for their home
• Want flexibility and extra time for little ones to adjust

Many of my clients find that the slower pace of a full session leads to some of their favorite images—the ones that truly capture their family's personality and connection.

I'm so excited to offer highlight film add-ons for all beach sessions this summer, including both mini and full sessions. These short, cinematic films combine beautiful video clips captured throughout your session into a heartfelt 30–60 second keepsake.

Which Session Is Right for Your Family?

No matter which experience you choose, every session takes place at the same breathtaking private beach here in Monmouth County. My goal is always to create a relaxed, joyful experience and photographs that will become treasured family heirlooms.

If your children warm up quickly and you're simply looking for updated portraits, a mini session may be perfect. But if you value a slower pace, additional images, and the freedom to let your little ones simply be themselves, I wholeheartedly encourage a full beach session.

After all, these years go by far too quickly—and they deserve to be remembered beautifully.
