Emma's Cake Smash

This was my first time doing an in-home cake smash, I was a little apprehensive at first but it was such a fun experience! We scheduled the photo shoot for Emma's actual first birthday. It was so much fun to be in her home watching how excited her parents, grandmother, and sweet dog Riley were!

If you're familiar with my work, you'll know that I love a sweet and simple setup. This always allows me to capture the true personality of each little one that I work with. Emma's shoot was no exception; her sweetness and gentle nature shines right through these photos.

Once we took the cake out, Emma got right after it! Her sweet little smile came out in-between bites, it was the cutest!

My favorite part of the session was when Emma's dog, Riley, came in for a bite! She was so gentle with Emma and the special bond that they share was so evident! It was the sweetest thing to watch and this is my favorite photo from the session!
